BACKGROUND

Formed over 40 years ago by Mr. Ed. Weetman, who purchased his first lorry for £30. With an agricultural background, he began transporting Animal Feeds for a local feed mill, now 30 years later he controls one of the largest bulk haulage companies in the Midlands.

The extensive, modem fleet has all the technology, as you would expect, in-cab phones for instant contact with the drivers.  On-board weighing devices to enable the maximum allowed payload is achieved the first time.  With major, long term customers like Trident Feeds (a division of ABN), Salt Union (formerly ICI), Carrs Billington Agriculture, KW Agriculture (a division of ABN), Frontier Agriculture, Gleadell Agriculture, Hanson Aggregates, Aggregate Industries, Midland Quarry Productsto name but a few.

With the majority of vehicles and trailers capable of operating at 44 tonnes gross vehicle weight, to meet the increase in customer demand.

Meticulous maintenance, on site servicing and repairs with our Volvo main dealer means that problems and defects are rectified as soon as the vehicle arrives back at base to ensure a safe & reliable fleet.

With the UKASTA regulations coming into effect, our entire fleet is UKASTA ‘friendly’, down to recording our three previous loads; trailer-sanitizing rotas have been in place to meet the requirements of the UKASTA regulations. Internal and external vehicle and trailer cleaning are just part of the service that we meticulously adhere to.
